Patch Sandpiper

One eventually had to make it over the pill by Portishead Marina and yesterday was the day. Amid nothing else, bar the continuing existence of the house martins, one common sandpiper bobbed its stuff on the low-tide mud for Port Marine tick number 69.

Portbury Wharf was equally quiet today. A pair of stock doves and one brave little grebe on the pool right by the houses. Pool – dog bath more like.
